Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind strongly reacts to U.S. veto on proposal for permanent ceasefire in Gaza

The establishment of an independent and sovereign state is the only sustainable solution to the Palestine issue: Maulana Arshad Madani

Despite 14 out of the 15 members of the United Nations Security Council voting in favor of an important resolution concerning a ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza, the Security Council failed to pass the resolution regarding an immediate, complete and sustainable ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, immediate humanitarian access, and the restoration of basic services in Gaza due to the United States' use of its veto power.

Expressing his strong reaction to the U.S. veto on the proposal for a permanent ceasefire against the brutal and barbaric continuous bombardment and atrocities committed by the globally disgraced, occupying Israeli rulers on the Palestinians in Gaza, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Arshad Madani, said that 14 countries had supported this best proposal, but the U.S. did not. This clearly means that the U.S. has a hand in the destruction and devastation of Gaza and is a primary accomplice in the genocide of Arabs in Palestine. It wants to depopulate Gaza of its native residents and settle Jews there instead. But, God willing, this will never happen.

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has maintained from the very beginning that the establishment of an independent and sovereign state is the only sustainable solution to the Palestine issue. In these dire and dangerous circumstances, the unjustified support of the United States and its President for the occupying and oppressive Israel is extremely shameful and highly condemnable.

Paying tribute to the courage and bravery of the fighters in Gaza, Maulana Madani said that the United States, Israel, and all those countries that seek the complete elimination of Hamas have failed miserably even today. Undoubtedly, to maintain this resistance, nearly one hundred thousand martyrs in Gaza have sacrificed their blood.

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind expresses its heartfelt solidarity with the freedom-loving Palestinians and wholeheartedly supports their demand for liberty and independence. We pray may Allah Almighty strengthen the determination and courage of the Palestinian people, and grant them His help and support. May Allah, the Exalted, destroy and overturn the oppressive powers and their allies. Ameen.
